Laser Mayhem

Laser Mayhem is a puzzle and strategy game. There are two gamemodes:

- The duel, opposing two players. It consists of a board crossed by a laser. The goal is to redirect the laser towards your opponent by placing pieces on the board, such as a mirror. You have to download the game to play it.

- Challenges, consisting of riddles that you need to solve. Aim for the eyes with the laser to close them all. You can only play this gamemode on the browser.

There aren't many players for now, so if you want to play, you should share this page to a friend, or ask for an opponent on Discord.

/!\ Please be aware that this game is in early phase of development, if you can't log in or sign in, servers are probably unavailable. You can check the states of the server on Discord: https://discord.gg/SjZQ3kQvRt . You can also ask me on Discord to start the server if you want to play.

If there is an issue during a game like the server not responding, closing the client is always the easier solution. Please notify me on Discord when it happens!

Rules:

Players have 15 HP each at the start. You lose 1 HP for every laser beam that go towards you (and if it is your turn to play, towards the sides as well). Note that beams do not stack, so if you manage to superimpose 2 lasers on the same tile, it will only count as 1 HP taken.

Players play turn by turn. On the top right corner, you can see several types of pieces that cost 1, 2, 3 and 4 coins. You can drag and drop them, as many as you can afford, anywhere on the board. Pieces left unplaced won't disappear from the selection, but if you have played one, a new one will be randomly generated from the right.

Pieces reflect the laser in different ways, you can previsualize how they work by placing them on the board, and undo your move with the undo button. A piece played this turn has a blue aura, and you can move it anywhere else on the board to try something else. Once you're satisfied with your turn, you can press the end turn button.

You can move or delete a piece from the board, but this will cost you some coins, that increases indefinetly for the rest of the game, so don't abuse that too early! You can only move a piece to one of its 8 neighbor tiles, except if you've played it this turn (blue aura). To delete a piece, drag and drop it to the trash tile on the right.

You get 2 coins per turn, except for the first turn where you only get 1 coin. You can save your coins for the following turn. You can decide to get in debt down to -3 coins, but your opponent will get the double of your excess as a bonus, so be mindful before doing that.
